Why go through a complete certificate series?

Although most of the courses do not have prerequisites, all build on each other in some form or fashion. Taking an entire set of quality courses will not only broaden one’s knowledge of quality related topics, but strengthen already existing skills and improve one’s chances of promotion.

What courses are included in the series?
  • ISO/TS16949 2002
  • ISO/TS16949 2002 Internal Auditor
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • APQP and PPAP
  • Mistake Proofing
  • Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)

Please note that this series, due to the ISO courses that are covered, is geared toward the automotive industry. Although not currently scheduled, a non-automotive ISO series can be provided upon request. Please call 260.624.2420 ext. 101 or e-mail mortorffw@tristate.edu for more details.

Who should attend?
  • Entry level quality personnel as well as those with experience who have not had formal training
  • All employees who are involved with new product launches: engineers, technicians, supervisors, team leaders, and launch coordinators
  • Individuals responsible for meeting ISO standards, coordinating implementation, and/or certification
  • Personnel who are preparing to take any of the standardized quality exams: CQE, ASQ CQA, or CQT
What are the benefits?
  • Understand how each course in the series relates to the others and why all are necessary for a comprehensive understanding of quality topics
  • Increase your quality knowledge and therefore improve your chances of promotion
  • Become more confident in your ability to pass the standardized quality proficiency exams
Is there a fee for the quality certificate program?

Individual course fees still apply as well as a fee of $15 for enrollment into the quality certificate program. This fee is non-refundable but allows the individual to complete the courses at their own pace.
